Apothecary's
 Garden

To update an existing garden.
The garden will showcase the elementary values of three herbal disciplines: Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and European Herbalism.
The design is also inspired by Medieval Pleasure Gardens and aims to thicken the atmosphere of the existing garden.
There will be a 'Flowery Mead' and the sound of water.
The maturing hedges, shrubs and climbers within the garden will create secluded 'rooms' and all the fragrant flowers included in the plant list will leave the air heavy with scent.
The plants have been chosen for their beauty, resilience and usefulness.
The garden is laid out in accordance with the plants'growing requirements and their ayurvedic qualities.
Each plant will be labelled with their Latin/ botannical name, their common name and a QR code for additional information on their properties.

Landmark
Garden

A garden that is allowed to find its own momentum, finds its soul - and so it will satisfy our senses, whilst offering up roots, foliage and flowers for our culinary and medicinal needs.
Over five years and working with the community group Deal With It, a disused church courtyard was transformed into an abundant garden and community space that held a variety of events from live music, Seed Swaps and Saturday Fayres to drinks parties.

Approximately 100 square metres

A Georgian Dwelling

A landscape schedule for a planning application.                                                                                                                                                                                     The planning of the site was particularly sensitive as it is in a World Heritage Site.                                                                                                                           The treatment of the site and the design of the plant list was required to satisfy the standards set out in the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Report.
